Helpful Information

Billing & Insurance

Wholesome Tyke is a private pay only provider at this time.

By not accepting insurance, I have fewer restrictions to providing the care your child needs, and I am also able to start as quickly as possible on services. Superbills are available by request, and you can submit Superbills directly to your insurance company for potential reimbursement.

Our services are also eligible for HSA and FSA.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why Should I Choose a Private Speech Therapist?

Although a delay or deficit may be present in a child, they may not qualify for community-based therapy. Families may also simply prefer a more curated approach, as well as additional support to optimize their child’s feeding, speech, language, and literacy skills. In-home services are a convenient way of gaining engagement in this way.

What can I expect from Wholesome Tyke?

Wholesome Tyke is a boutique-style speech therapy service that caters to your child’s specific needs. We value a holistic approach and look at the “whole picture” while also considering the family’s goals and lifestyle. We promote collaboration with the family and others who are a part of the child’s life to optimize outcomes. We encourage parents and caregivers to be as involved in the therapy process as they like. Wholesome Tyke provides fun, engaging techniques while honoring your child’s interests to yield the best outcomes.

What ages do you work with?

Wholesome Tyke provides services in the early years ranging from twelve months to five years of age.

What does a therapy session at Wholesome Tyke look like?

Therapy sessions last 45 minutes. Frequency is determined by the therapist after completing an evaluation. Sessions include a variety of modalities including structured and unstructured play, music, games, movement, and sensory activities.

Where are services provided?

Therapy comes to you! We will provide therapy in your home, preschool, daycare, or at a community location. Working with kids in their natural, day-to-day environment can be so beneficial.

How long will my child need speech therapy?

Every child is different! There is no predictable timeline of when a child will no longer need support. There are a variety of factors that contribute to the progress of acquiring new skills. Parents and caregivers will receive updates on progress along the way!

Do you accept insurance?

Wholesome Tyke is private pay and does not accept insurance at this time. Just because we do not accept insurance does not mean your insurance provider will not cover full or partial services. Superbills are available by request. It is up to the parent to determine requirements to receive reimbursement, and reimbursement is not guaranteed. Wholesome Tyke does not provide prior authorizations or call insurance companies.

What forms of payment are accepted?

Wholesome Tyke will connect you with a HIPAA compliant system known as Simple Practice to complete payments. All major debit and credit cards are accepted. HSA (health savings accounts) and FSA (flexible spending accounts) can also be used. The card on file will be billed through this secure payment system and you will receive an electronic invoice as receipt of payment. Payment will be obtained the day of service.

What are your rates?

Please call or email to inquire about rates of service. It is noted that travel fees are included in our prices as long as you are within 20 miles of Fayetteville. An additional travel fee is added if you are located farther than the 20-mile radius.
